Cadillac Blackening
The much-anticipated Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing will debut next month, bringing more power and more capabilities to the track for the Cadillac lineup. General Motors Authority It reports that you can book one of your first 500 units (250 CT4s and 250 CT5s) for $ 1,000. Once talked about the first 500 cars, dealers can follow up on ordering (and coding) the cars themselves.
500 cars will be private, of course. GM says that being first in line will give you some good things:
Each vehicle listed on 500 Cadillac Blackening reservations will come with one of the vehicle’s first serial numbers, plus a Certificate of Authenticity and a session at the Cadillac V-Performance Academy at the Spring Mountain Resort race track in Nevada, plus an as yet unspecified “gift”.
While both CT4 and CT5 use Blackwing in their names – Blackwing will be the pinnacle of the brand’s performance, according to Cadillac – Neither It will be powered by a discontinued Blackwing Engine. We can’t say for sure, but CT4-V Blackwing is expected to get a modernized version of the ATS-V’s twin-turbo V6. The CT5-V Blackwing is expected to receive a 6.2-liter LT4 Supercharged V8 engine from the Camaro ZL1.
The new Vs will be previewed January 30th within Daytona’s 24 hours, and the official start is February 1 with reservations open on the same day.
